The project objective was to create a brand around a certain social issue. There needed to be three deliverables in this project which included magazine design, poster design, and phone case designs. Unrealistic body expectations brought forth by the growing use of social media is negatively impacting teens and young adults today. The highly edited images of “celebrities” are receiving millions of likes and are even creating mental health disorders in some cases. There has been a term to define this mental illness, “Snapchat Dysmorphia” which can be described as someone who is extremely preoccupied with a perceived flaw in appearance that to others can’t be seen or appears to be minor.

The front flap was designed to cover the phone screen to take a break from scrolling through Instagram. The mirror and design on the front let you know that your reflection is real and beautiful no matter what social media says.
